Just like the return of low rise jeans, the ’90s skinny brow trend is gaining momentum again as thin eyebrows have made a comeback on the runway, in TikTok tutorials, and seen on Euphoria stars like Alexis Demi and Barbie Ferreira. Perhaps their most notable return has been on Lilly James’ doppelgänger brows in Hulu’s Pam & Tommy biographical TV series.
While Gen Z may just be turning on to the over-plucked look, Gen X is very familiar with the once-popular style. Pamela Anderson herself has stayed true to the look for the last 30 years. In a recent candid snap, the 54-year-old bombshell shows that her devotion to the slender brow look remains strong.
About her famous brows, Anderson once told Harper’s Bazaar that her signature look is strictly her work. “They are natural. I fill them in with pencil,” she said. “I have never tattooed my make-up on, or waxed anything.” She may have kept the look since the ’90s, but back in 2014 Anderson sported a more natural look on the cover of Notofu Magazine. “Pamela naturally has very slim brows from years of being a 90’s pin-up bombshell, they are pencil thin,” celebrity makeup artist Adam Burrell said at the time. “I wanted to give her a fresh and modern look…and my first stop was her brows.”
While skinny brows may be back thanks to her influence, there’s something about a fluffier look we can’t help but like on the Baywatch babe herself. However she wears her iconic brows, she still commands our attention. Anderson is gearing up to tell her own story soon with a Netflix documentary that features the iconic star’s personal interviews and her side of her very public personal history.
