Olivia Rodrigo has been sporting Glossier makeup everywhere, from red carpets to the streets, so it’s no surprise the two have teamed up with Rodrigo signing a long-term deal with the company. The Gen X beloved beauty brand and the three-time Grammy Award winner make a dreamy pair for Glossier’s first celebrity partnership.
According to a press release, Rodrigo will have a hand in initiatives within product, content and creative campaigns. “We see many parallels between Glossier’s come-as-you-are ethos, Olivia’s candor, relatability, and the tell-it-like-it-is nature of her songwriting,” said the press release. “Olivia, like Glossier, believes in looking and feeling good while finding joy in taking care of yourself.” You can see Rodrigo’s sentiment in the press release where she writes, “If I could send a note to the Glossier community, I’d say, you look good exactly as you are.”
The campaign is rooted in the brand’s motto, “You Look Good.” In the campaign video, Rodrigo says, “I always feel the best when I’m in makeup that I feel enhances what I have naturally.” She appeals to viewers saying, “You’re just perfect and don’t let anyone try to convince you otherwise.”
Glossier is now selling a curated set of Rodrigo’s favorite products. Olivia’s Favorites ($45) includes Boy Brow, Ultralip and Pro-Tip. When talking about makeup in the video, Rodrigo says, “Winged eyeliner is my favorite thing in the world” and notes that she loves makeup that makes her feel “gloowy and shiny.”
